The 9-year-old girl arsonist captured by CCTV footage setting the Ebeano supermarket in the Lokogoma area of Abuja on fire has been arrested by security operatives. Naija News understand that fire razed the multi-million Naira shopping mall all night on Saturday, July 17, 2021 into the early hours of the next day. In the CCTV footage shared on social media, the young girl dressed in a black T-Shirt and jeans is said to have caused the fire at an unascertained time after she was seen walking down the aisle where books, lighters and gas cylinders are stocked up on the shelves, before lighting up a fire that would go on to engulf the entire building.

Chief Akande Is Corrupt, Can't Be Trusted

Former Governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola has accused his predecessor, Chief Bisi Akande of corruption and betrayal. Oyinlola made the accusation while reacting to an allegation made against him by Akande in his autobiography titled “My Participations”. In the book, Akande claimed that Oyinlola wrongly accused him of corruption in the construction of the Osun state Governor’s Office, also known as Bola Ige House. Akande said Oyinlola arrested two of his commissioners, adding that the arrested appointees were told by the police to implicate him in their statements.

Flood victims in three States, Bayelsa, Delta and Rivers have Today received succour in the form of relief items from the Tompolo Foundation.
